A good number of members attended the meeting of Lickey WI on Tuesday, November 4, at the parish hall. President Sue Taylor announced new roles for the revised committee, which included Chris Bould taking over the post of secretary.
Catherine Parker gave final arrangements for an outing to Bath later in the month and names were taken for a Christmas lunch at WI House in December.
Dorothy Radford reported on the recent half yearly council meeting at Evesham. It was noted that Bournville WI were proposing a resolution concerning the finishing of British Assay marks.
The speaker for the evening was Pen Harrison, who gave a very interesting talk on tassels. She was thanked by Sue Mayne.
Lucky raffle winners were Sue Mayne, Zena Watts and Dorothy Radford. The competition for a scarf was won by Irene Scott.
The next meeting - to be held on Tuesday, December 2 - will be a Christmas party evening. Members are invited to donate a gift for charity in place of the competition.
