FROM the feedback that I have received from the residents of Ambleside Drive and Tolladine Road, it would appear that the majority are highlighting traffic problems in this area.
Both of the roads in question are used daily as a rat-run. People who are using the local shops are blocking driveways and pavements and are leaving no access for emergency vehicles.
If you ask someone to move their car you are greeted with a tirade of abuse.
Furthermore, the speed of these vehicles is totally unacceptable and will certainly result in a person being seriously injured or killed if some action is not taken.
Many senior citizens, parents and children use these routes daily and it is just not safe. Crossing the road can be nigh on impossible with senseless idiots speeding through this community.
Traffic calming measures have been adopted in other areas of the city. Why not here?
Several petitions have been submitted to the council in previous years but to no avail.
With a 13 per cent council tax rise this year and 20 per cent forecast for next year, can we have something for our money?
Double yellow lines are required opposite the shopping area and traffic calming needs implementing now. What will it take for them to sit up and listen?

n I SAY welcome to Ann Summers. I don't believe in allowing sleeping dogs to lie - I believe in waking them up! Keep up the pleasure.
