I WRITE in response to the letter 'Bring back school bus" (Advertiser, November 12).
I am one of the parents protesting outside St Stephen's CE First School and I would just like to point out to Mr and Mrs Hardwick that there are indeed yellow lines, School Keep Clear markings and zig zag lines outside the entrance.
It is just some parents choose to ignore them.
The county council has indeed been contacted and refused to act, the police told us they would do nothing until an accident happened and they did send us a traffic warden for all of three days. He would arrive at 9am when there was no need for him anymore.
We as parents want what is best for our children and indeed, all of the children who attend the school. That is why we are protesting.
Until something is done about people parking and turning in the driveway to our school, we will carry on being there twice a day, every day, in order to stop them.
