TARDEBIGGE First School was recently congratulated for the success it has achieved with its Walking Bus scheme.
School representatives went to an event at Redditch Town Hall earlier this month where staff from other schools were invited to attend to see how well the scheme can work.
Walking Buses teach children pedestrian road safety skills, encourage a healthier lifestyle, give them an opportunity to meet with their friends, reduce congestion around school gates and help cut pollution.
Routes are risk assessed and monitored with the children supervised by volunteer helpers.
