THE head of Britain's most powerful employers' group is due to be in Worcester on Friday to launch a new company.
Digby Jones, director general of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), will take time out of his busy schedule to officially open printing company GoodmanBaylis.
GoodmanBaylis - on a five-acre site on London Road - was formed when Birmingham printer John Goodman bought Ebenezer Baylis from Greater Universal Stores (GUS) earlier this year.
Digby Jones has become a familiar figure on TV and radio, promoting the interests of wealth and job creation in the UK.
"We're looking forward to welcoming Digby and about 200 guests to our opening," said Ian Cranston, managing director of GoodmanBaylis.
"We shall be welcoming many of our loyal customers and suppliers, along with a number of local dignitaries and senior figures from the print industry."
Worcester's MP Mike Foster is also due to attend the launch, as well as deputy Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Allah Ditta.
