REDDITCH NEW College students are getting their hands dirty after offering to restore one of the thousands of motorbikes which were damaged at the National Motorcycle Museum blaze in September.
The students will be working on a Triumph XR75 Hurricane made in the early 70s, which was one of only 1, 200 ever made, and they hope to have the bike back to its original factory condition by the summer.
Motorcycle maintenance tutor Dave White said: "It was heartbreaking to see the devastation at the museum and we are determined to make some contribution to the restoration of this national treasure.
"Britain's motorcycle industry was based in this area and this is a unique opportunity for today's students to get a practical history lesson."
