SIX Redditch police officers have received awards for their work in keeping law and order on the streets of the town.
North Worcestershire Division of West Mercia Constabulary held an awards ceremony last Wednesday at its headquarters, Hindlip Hall, Worcester.
The evening included presentations to 14 Kidderminster officers, 11 Bromsgrove officers and the six Redditch officers, including Pc Dave Wilkins, north east sector beat manager.
The awards were presented by Chief Superintendent Suzette Davenport and Deputy Chief Constable Alan Bridge.
Section Officer Robert Newcombe, of the Special Constabulary, also received a commendation for his outstanding contribution to the policing of Redditch over the last decade.
Other officers were commended for outstanding commitment and dedication to duty in detecting burglary dwelling and Class A drug offences.
