Kings Heath 6,

Badsey Ladies 0

BADSEY are finding victories hard to come by this season and Saturday's match was no exception.

Following a poor performance against Tenbury the previous week, they were looking for an improvement and, on the whole, they played a lot better.

The teams were fairly evenly matched in the first half with Badsey having as much, if not more, of the ball than their opponents.

They worked hard to keep hold of the ball and put together some creative attacks down both sides of the pitch through Claire Jones, Lynn Ellarby, Karen Robinson and Sharon Fish.

The home team looked dangerous on the break and gave the Badsey defence a few frights but player of the match Karen Moore and her defensive colleagues coped well until midway through the half.

Kings Heath then hit them hard back and scored three quick goals before the break.

In the second half, Badsey again took the game to their opponents but couldn't get the breakthrough needed to start a comeback.

Again, they probably had the better of the play and put the Kings Heath goal under a lot of pressure but without any reward.

Unfortunately, probably due to the goals they have conceded this season, the defence is suffering a crisis of confidence and the hosts were allowed to score three more goals despite some good saves from keeper Fiona McNeish and Wendy Hardy's fabulous goalline clearance.

Badsey entertain Droitwich at Evesham Astro, pushback 10.30am, when they will set about trying to turn their season around.
