LOVE is a subject close to the heart of Jamie Knight's new EP, which covers subjects such as jealousy, loneliness and regret.
Guitarist and vocalist Jamie has been recording the EP in Malvern, and gleans his inspiration from books, television and films.
He says the song subjects are not autobiographical.
"There's nothing personal in them at all, my life couldn't be happier at the moment," says Jamie.
"The songs are love songs and you can pick the subject up from things you see around you.
"It's everywhere, with people splitting up and people getting together."
Jamie says the tracks on the EP range for ballads to up-tempo music.
Every Beat is a love ballad written about someone's need for their former partner to stay with them after a relationship break-up.
"It's about taking their time and getting though it, and coming out the other end."
Common Law is a track about jealously and regret.
"This is a brand new track that we've been playing in London," says Jamie.
"It's an up-tempo number with strong lyrics.
"It's about getting into trouble and doing people harm through jealousy, and ending up locked up.
"There's regret because you are regretting your actions."
Long May You Run is where the one partner knows they should get out of their current relationship, but they can't make the leap.
"They know something's not right and they want to take that step but they can't," says Jamie.
The EP will also have video footage of Jamie's live gig at Worcester's Huntingdon Hall earlier this year, along with film footage of Jamie playing in the recording studio.
Huntingdon Hall, where Jamie is booked to play again next year, is not the only place where the singer/songwriter has been causing a stir.
He has also been playing numerous gigs in London where he has been getting a great response.
Following on from his debut album Where The Heart Lies, Jamie is set to record a new album early next February.
Jamie, who lives in St John's, Worcester, says he does not believe in playing the same area too often, and likes every show to be slightly different.
When he plays Worcester's Marr's Bar on Sunday, November 30, he says there will be some surprise visuals for his show by his visual director Matthew Dukes.
At the Marr's Bar gig in Pierpoint Street, Jamie will be accompanied by Dave Staiger on piano, Paul Smith on double bass and Jon Sharpe on drums.
