MOVIE MAKERS' CLUB: The November meeting was held at Bretforton Manor where Roy gave a master class on lighting.
In order to show members how to achieve moods, special effects and how to replicate daylight and night-time lighting a subject to light up was required. Jill Moran was invited, she read out several poems which members were able to film as Roy set the various moods with his lights. All in all it made a very entertaining and instructional evening.
Discussions were also held on the progress of the club's latest film and arrangements made for future filming dates.
The filming of The Whole Caboodle Band on November 14 proved an interesting evening for members. There were five cameras filming the action and Roy provided the lighting.
The films now have to be edited to provide a tape or disc to present to the band.
New members are welcome. For further information contact Brian Bambury on 01386 830863.

RAMBLERS' ASSOCIATION: For the October ramble members assembled in the car park at Chipping Norton.
After a few minutes of town walking members were in the countryside to see a lovely autumnal landscape. There was a clear view of the Bliss tweed mill.
Members continued towards the village of Churchill. The tall church tower of All Saints was a good landmark - so good that members had a coffee-stop within the church grounds. After coffee, onwards through Churchill village to walk a section of the Darcy Donnell Way. Crossing the dismantled Chipping Norton railway line, members walked by the pristine Kingham Hill Farm to the lovely village of Cornwell.
The village of Salford was the lunch stop. Members had a picnic lunch at the village hall, where the leader, Clive Bostle, had arranged for thyem to be able to make hot drinks.
After lunch members walked north of Salford as far as Brightwell Farm, then returned to Salford by a different route which passed the Whispering Knights Stones burial chamber.
From Salford they walked through more gently undulating Oxfordshire countryside back to Chipping Norton. Here they had tea at a local caf and the chairman thanked Clive for organising an interesting ramble.
HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY: The annual meeting and Christmas party will be held on Tuesdayat 7.30pm at Wallace House, Oat Street. The competition for the month is a Christmas table decoration.
