PUPPETEERS are bringing to life the classic children's tale Jack and the Beanstalk at the Malvern Theatres.
The show is created and performed by Peter and Angela Passmore, the founders of Fo-Fum Puppet Productions. During their careers the couple have worked closely with Jim Henson Productions and their screen credits include The Muppet Christmas Carol, The Muppet Treasure Island and the Emmy award-winning Mother Goose Stories.
As well as theatre productions, the company also runs puppet-making workshops and regularly works with children with special educational needs. In addition to a diploma in drama, Angela has completed an 'art and play in therapeutic work with children' certificate from the Roehampton Institute.
The company's production of Jack and the Beanstalk features puppets created by Sue Dacre, who has also worked as principal puppeteer for Jim Henson productions. The show has been described as a 'first-rate adaptation of the classic fairytale' and 'an outstanding production'.
Jack and the Beanstalk is suitable for children aged between four to eight and the show is on Saturday. For information contact Malvern Theatres box office on 01684 892277.
