LAST of the Summer Wine fans are to be treated to an evening with Pearl at the Swan Theatre, Worcester.
Theatregoers will get the opportunity to find out just what it is like being the wife of the devious Howard who spends most of his time in the top TV programme chasing Marina.
Juliette Kaplan (pictured), who plays the part of his wife Pearl in one of BBC TV's favourite sitcoms, is appearing at the Swan on Saturday in Just Pearl.
Directed by John Hobbs, Just Pearl is a fascinating, frank and engaging new comedy by Last of the Summer Wine creator Roy Clarke.
As the name implies, he wrote it especially for Juliette, and the show is expected to be hugely popular with fans of Summer Wine, the world's longest running comedy television series.
Just Pearl opens with Juliette putting on her make-up and magically transforming herself into Pearl.
She then shares with her audience and intimate view of her extraordinary life - one which is never seen on screen - her dreams and her disappointments. She also tells of how she copes with the wandering Howard and the trollop Marina, her psychic ability to know when Howard is up to no good, and her top tips to wives and girlfriends on how to keep their men in check.
After the show, Pearl/Juliette will be happy to chat to the audience and invite questions, sharing more of her innermost secrets with her unique and deliciously ironic sense of humour.
All tickets cost £13.50 and are available from the box office on 01905 611427.
