CYCLING: Phil Blacker raced to sixth place in the Wolverhampton Wheelers Cycle Club's cyclo-cross race at Aldersley Leisure Village in the latest round of the West Midlands League.
The Wyre Forest Cycle Club rider finished the 11-mile course in 59 minutes 53 seconds on Sunday, just over four minutes behind the winner, former national champion and series leader Steve Knight, of MI Racing-Peugeot.
Tony Richardson took 10th place in the veterans final standing in the CTT-Rudy Project National time trial series with 285 points. Overall series winner was Stephen Marchant, of Swindon RC, on 328.
