A FIRST Stratford Alliance reverse of the season for Mettis Aerospace enabled Campden Town to climb back to the summit of the Journal Premier Division.

FISSC were the side to upset the unbeaten high flyers as goals from Andy Taplin, Luke Brittain and Mark Smith earned the visitors their odd goal success.

Campden, who took the season's first silverware last Wed-nesday, inflicted more misery of basement side Oast House with Matt Sheridan's treble the highlight of a 6-2 away win.

Henley Forest moved up to third after a 4-3 win over Badsey Rangers, while Ship-ston Excelsior climbed to fourth after a 5-0 hammering of Badsey United.

There was welcome relief at the bottom of Herald Division Two as Bidford recorded a first win thanks to goals from Phil Layton and Ian Horton against Halfords Athletic.

Steve Dipple scored twice as Alcester Lions remained five points clear after a 5-2 win at Studley. Two goals from Jon Guest helped Quin-ton move up to second after a 3-2 victory at Badsey.

Six goals were shared as Clav-erdon and Tysoe collected a point apiece in the section's other match.

Promotion chasing Ilmington found two goals enough to see off the challenge of Campden Town Reserves in the Nursing Home Cup.

Cubbington and Littleton continue to lead the way in Cutler Division Three with the former staying two points clear after a 2-1 defeat of Shipston.

A Sam Huckvale double helped Littleton win 4-2 at FISSC but the struggles continue for Long Compton after a 5-1 home reverse at the hands of Henley Forest.

Rich Skan netted a brace as Dog and Pheasant earned a point at Ilmington for whom Rich James and Rab Clarke replied.
