CUSTOMERS at the Cider Mill in Hampton, Evesham, raised £1565 to help a boy with cerebral palsy in just two weeks.
"It was a fantastic effort," said Lisa Edwards, who with her husband Matt, runs the pub.
"We set out with the intention of trying to raise £800 for a tricycle for Kieran Jeavons, aged four, who is the son of Steve Jeavons, one of our darts players, and his wife Tracy."
Mr and Mrs Edwards organised a bonfire and firework display and held raffles and competitions to raise the cash which just poured in.
"The result means that we can not only buy the trike but a communication aid in addition and hopefully there will be enough for a wheelchair as well," she said.
Mrs Edwards said: "We shall be organising a presentation ceremony for the week before Christmas and meanwhile we would like to thank all who helped and supported in any way. We are truly grateful."
