PERSHORE people will again have the chance to remember a loved one while helping local charities as the town's Tree of Light twinkles into life for another year.
In just three years the tree, which is organised by the Rotary Club of Pershore and the town council, has raised more than £5,000 for The Acorn's Children's Hospice Trust and St Richard's Hospice.
In return for a donation a list of the people being remembered and donors will appear at the foot of the tree and in the Evesham Journal.
Town mayor and Rotarian Richard Hampton said: "The lights will burn bright on the tree throughout Christmas - it is a nice way to remember loved ones you have lost."
To put a name forward for the tree of light, which is situated at the top of Broad Street, send a donation with the loved one's name to Ken Bouchard, 28 Bridge Street, Pershore, WR10 1AT.
The suggested donations for individuals is £5.
