A TOP dance troupe which has been an integral part of Remembrance Day parades in Wyre Forest for almost a decade is facing closure.
The Royal British Legion Dance Troupe has a record number of members, aged seven to 16, but could now fold unless a new teacher is found.
Dance administrator Janice Bradbury said the 30 girls who religiously turned up to rehearsals every Wednesday at Holy Trinity School, Kidderminster, would be "devastated" by the loss.
She said: "They love it, we have gone from about 16 members to 30 over the last 12 months and we now have a waiting list. We are doing very well but we need a new teacher after Christmas because our current teacher is leaving to have a baby."
The group was set up in 1994 and has become a fixture of Remembrance Day parades, carnivals and other special events in Wyre Forest.
However, Miss Bradbury is now warning that the traditional Christmas Concert by the troupe, at Kidderminster Town Hall on December 14, could be their last.
Anyone who is able to teach the troupe contemporary dance can contact Janice Bradbury on 07940578603.
