ALL Saints Church, Wells Road (by the Railway Inn) is the venue for a musical celebration given by well-known soprano Sue Black and friends next Friday (November 28) at 8pm. The cost is £3 per person, which includes mulled wine and nibbles. What a bargain! Proceeds go to the Acorns Children's Hospice. This is an excellent cause, so let us have no empty seats. Phone now for tickets from Janice Taylor on 01684 567651 or Jean Williams on 01684 563346.
Fresh from their recent performances of Time of my Life to small but appreciative audiences, the Wells Players have just begun rehearsals for their next production, a panto based on the old Russian fairy tale of a prince who fell in love with three oranges.
More on this at a later date, but I am told that it will be a rather unusual production.
