MEMBERS of Upton Town Council's planning committee met to discuss several applications.
Among them was an amended plan to build a new single-storey home at Willowbank in School Lane.
Coun Eric White said the applicants had proposed using a site access in Oak Row, instead of the School Lane access previously suggested.
Members could see no reason to turn it down and are recommending the district council to approve the plan. However, they said the applicants also need listed building consent, which has not yet been applied for.
Also no objections were raised to a retrospective application for a domestic garage at 26 New Street.
Coun Simon Wilkinson asked that a condition be attached stipulating that the site should only be used as a domestic garage.
Two more applications, for a change of use from agricultural land to garden at Palace Farm House, Welland Road, and the fitting of letters to the fascia at 9 High Street, Upton, were both recommended for approval.
