The time was right for villagers in West Malvern who came to witness the official unveiling of the revamped village clock.
The drum clock on the side of the village hall was erected for the Queen's coronation in 1953 by George Beard, a member of the ratepayers association.
It had kept good time for 50 years up until May, when time in West Malvern finally stood still. Parish councillors explored the possibility of a new clock, but quotes of £5,000 were considered too expensive.
However, the original clock has now been restored with the help of local firms Leach jewellers, Regal Garages, Morgan Blacksmiths, Dawe Construction and Household Electrics.
Mr Beard's son, Fred, was invited to unveil the clock, now back in its rightful place and keeping perfect time.
David Sharp, West Malvern Parish Council's clerk, said: "Despite the driving rain, the ceremony went very well. The council would like to thank all the firms involved in restoring the clock. We hope it will last another 50 years."
