CRADLEY firm Carrington and Jackson has been asked to provide 5,000 apples for the BBC Good Food Show.
The order comes from the Food and Drink Information Centre, based in Hereford, which wants to use the apples as promotional giveaways on its stand. The centre provides a single point of contact for inquiries from West Midlands businesses involved in the food and drink industry.
Richard Hyett, a spokesman for Carrington and Jackson, which supplies fresh fruit and veg to supermarkets and restaurants, said: "This is one of our more unusual orders but we were delighted to help."
The BBC Good Food Show runs from November 26-30 at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.
