DIGBY Jones, director general of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), was due to visit Worcester today.
As reported in yesterday's Evening News, he was set to kick off his visit with a breakfast meeting at Worcester Rugby Club, Sixways, organised by the Central Worcestershire & The Vale Conservative Business Breakfast Club.
He was then due to head over to London Road to officially launch GoodmanBaylis, the new printing firm formed when Ebenezer Baylis was bought by Birmingham printing company John Goodman earlier this year.
Mr Jones, who became head of the powerful business group in January 2000, was then expected at the Worcestershire Law Society Dinner, at the Pear Tree Hotel, Smite, where he was booked as guest speaker.
