TWO goals from Darren Loader secured three points for Radar at Victoria Park last Sunday.
MALVERN RADAR 2, KAYS ATHLETICO 1
Both teams had chances early on with Rob Crawford and Leon Wood both wasting half chances for Radar whilst at the other end keeper Chris Ball did well to block Richard Price's effort and Gary Harman cleared off the line.
Radar took the lead after 24 minutes when Matt Brookes teed the ball up for Darren Loader who scored with an excellent low drive from 25 yards.
It was fairly even in the second half with Athletico's Jake Hammond making some surging runs through the middle, well supported by Mark Allen.
Kays keeper Craig Richards then pulled off a splendid save, somehow tipping Brooks's 20 yard thunderbolt over the bar but moments later he failed to grab hold of Clive Churchill's cross and Loader was on hand to score from close range.
Kays kept battling and Gavin Warren pulled one back after some hesitant defending but Radar finished the stronger and Richards produced two brilliant saves from Harman and Baker.
This Sunday Radar are away to Trinity Sports in the cup, players meet RSRE Club 9.30am.
