BOB Bullock (Evening News, Monday, November 15) needs all the support he can get to abolish the "F" word on TV and radio.
In all probability, the writers of scripts think it funny or perhaps they cannot think of an alternative term, so resort to vulgarity. Perhaps they also lack education.
In his letter, the former Mayor mentions "barrack room language" where one sleeps and wakes to it and where it should be kept.
MP Peter Luff also mentions the banning of the word in magazines for younger people. Perhaps the older generation should also be considered. He, too, needs all the support he can get.
PETER ALCOCK,
Upton Snodsbury, Worcestershire.
