A BRILLIANT bass player is needed to help a town band reach its star potential.
Web is a recently newly formed four-piece rock group, set up by talented songwriter and keyboard player Melvyn Banner.
But an enthusiastic and proficient bassist is still needed to complete the line-up in time for a potential handful of Christmas gigs.
"We are ready to give the music world a run for its money. But we need a keen bass player to come forward and join us," Melvyn said.
Following an appeal for talented musicians by Melvyn and drummer Josh Roberts in the Advertiser/Messenger leisure pages a singer and guitarist were found.
Lead singer Freya Webber was delighted to be selected for the band after an audition in June. "I can't wait for our first gig," she said.
New guitarist Andrew McQuire added: "In a short space of time we have become really good and it seems like we have been together a long time."
The group is hoping to do their first taster gig at the Golden Lion pub, in Charford, at the beginning of next month and have been practising very hard.
Drummer Josh said: "The songs we do are really great and Melvyn pushes us really hard - and I've got the blisters to prove it!"
Anyone interested in joining the band is urged to call Melvyn on 01527 877286 for an audition.
