STUDLEY boss Mark Chambers was relieved his side were still alive and kicking in the FA Vase after a tense, heart-stopping 90 minutes at The Beehive on Saturday.
The Bees earned last night's replay in Derbyshire, thanks to some brave goalkeeping from Dave Adey and a stern defensive display from the likes of Steve Hands, Ian Wood and Vaughan Thomas to keep the visitors at bay.
Studley also had their own chances to seal victory at the first time of asking against the Northern Counties Eastern League outfit but Kevin Rowlands and Marlon Sylvester were gloriously unlucky not to find the back of the net during the match.
Afterwards, Chambers said: "It was nip and tuck all the way - a very nervous encounter.
"No-one wanted to make a mistake and be out of the competition. At the end, I have to be honest and say I was just glad we were still in it.
"We never got the chance to really play at our full potential against a very useful side."
Chambers was hoping that situation would change ahead of last night's replay with former Liverpool and Coventry City favourite David Burrows, Steve Duncan and Mark Beddowes all expected to have returned to the starting line up.
