BIRMINGHAM Royal Ballet (BRB) presents the world premiere of their new ballet Beauty and the Beast at the Birmingham Hippodrome from Monday.
Created by award-winning BRB Director David Bintley, the spectacular new production has sets designed by Philip Prowse, who designed BRB productions Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty, and a score by Canadian composer Glenn Buhr.
Bintley has long been thinking about creating this production and said: "I have always loved fairytales, legends and sagas because they appeal to all sorts of intellect and levels of enjoyment.
"I am aiming to retain the heart of the story and it will be Beauty and the Beast as you have never seen it before."
The production runs until December 13 and includes Thursday and Saturday matinees. Tickets, priced £11-£40 are available from 0870 730 1234.
