FOLLOW the yellow brick road to Alvechurch Village Hall this week to see Alvechurch Dramatic Society's production of The Wizard of Oz.
The society will be performing the play, adapted by Alfred Bradley from the novel by L Frank Baum, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7.30pm, together with a 2.30pm Saturday matinee.
The cast includes Fiona Holmes as Dorothy and Adam Brown as the Tinman, with Kelly Harrington as the cowardly Lion and Susan Resuggan as the Wicked Witch of the West.
Society spokesman Chris Davies explained: "This is the 'play' version of the story, rather than the musical.
"But there's lots of panto-style fun and audience participation included.
"All the familiar characters are present and correct, from the Wicket Witch of the West to the Wizard himself and even Toto makes an appearance."
Mr Davies added: "This is a real family show - suitable for children of all ages!"
Tickets for the show, priced £4.50 (concessions £3.50) are available from Alvechurch Post Office, Bear Hill, or on 0121 447 7071.
