HEREFORD United manager Graham Turner hailed his side after their 7-1 thrashing of Halifax Town last night.
The victory, including a Steve Guinan hat-trick, leaves the Bulls second in the Conference, a point behind Chester.
Halifax took a second minute lead but two quick goals from Ben Smith put the Edgar Street side on course for their biggest league win since 1969.
"For a team under pressure to recover like that from a goal down showed good character," said Turner.
"I thought there were some tremendous individual performances and a good team performance.
"The players got what they deserved, a good scoreline which will do their confidence a power of good."
