BROMSGROVE Rovers moved safely into the Birmingham Senior Cup third round with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Rugby United last night.
Paul Szewczyk scored in each half, taking his goal tally since joining George Rooney's side last month to six. Steve Frost was also on target.
Szewczyk gave Rovers the lead after just three minutes when he headed home Richard Tomkins' corner.
Rovers were hardly troubled all night but were grateful to Frost for clearing the hosts' best chance from Danny Nelson.
Two minutes after the break it was 2-0 when Frost headed home Tomkins' cross.
Rugby had Lee Golding sent off on 67 minutes for a second bookable offence.
Szewczyk got his second ten minutes from time.
