MARK Benbow (pictured) could make his first Dr Martens Western appearance in a month this Saturday.

Rovers entertain third place Sutton Coldfield Town at the Victoria Ground and Benbow, out since the FA Cup loss at Whitby, could feature in the squad after making a speedy recovery form a fractured in-step.

Boss George Rooney said: "I don't think anybody expected him to be back until mid-December. He might figure in the 16 but as to whether he starts I will have to take another look."

Benbow's chances of making the Sutton game were given a boost after playing 90 minutes against Rugby last night (Tuesday).

Rooney added: "It was a good opportunity to see how his injury was and he had no reaction."

Rovers however will be without Ross Collins until the new year after he was handed a 35-day ban. The midfielder, also on his way back from injury, was sent off playing for the reserves earlier this month.
