DEAR EDITOR - I wonder if anyone else has suffered from fireworks like I did on November 7.
The mother of my three-day-old puppies abandoned them to creep into the darkest corner she could find and sat there shivering and very distressed for a very long time. The next morning she had to be taken to the vet.
I could not go outside for smoke and debris falling down. My garden, garage and house roof is littered with the empty shells.
Is it not time we banned fireworks from private gardens and let responsible organisers do the job on Guy Fawkes night only?
Shell-shocked
