AT our meeting on November 13, the speaker was Keith Newnham on the subject of wonderful gardens.
On what was a rather chilly windswept evening, he took us back to spring and summer in three magnificent gardens, Dyffryn in south Wales, Exbury in Hampshire and Chatsworth in Derbyshire. The accompanying excellent slides brought them all to life.
The evening was then rounded off with refreshments and the raffle.
Our next meeting will be held on December 11 when we shall be holding our Christmas social in the form of a quiz followed by a buffet supper when all members bring along finger-foods of some kind.
Visitors and new members are always welcome at the Friends Meeting House, Sandhills Road, Barnt Green, at 8pm.
However, we do not meet up in January. We meet on the second Thursday of each month from February onwards.
