THE future of the town's multi-million pound supermarket development was due to be discussed by Wychavon District Council last night.(Tuesday)
The district council's executive board were due to meet and make their final decision in Pershore.
Before the meeting Cllr Graham Gopsill (Lib-Dem) anticipated he would be a lone crusader in his battle against the development.
He said: "Tonight I am expecting to be a lone voice against the proposal. I still feel the district should steer clear of development."
But district Cllr Pam Davey (Con) was hoping that they could finally advance with the project. "I hope the council will endorse the agreement," she said.
