CHEERFUL youngsters from a Droitwich primary school were in their element when they took part in a 'Bring Your Teddy to School day.'
Staff from Chawson First School in Wyche Road came up with a novel way to raise cash for Children in Need last Friday when they invited their pupils to bring along their soft toys in exchange for 20p.
Dressed in all sorts of fancy dress costumes, the bears also took part in a competition to find the best dressed bear.
Bears dressed as Harry Potter, musicians and footballers all came up trumps in the competition.
Head teacher, Jerry Hughes confirmed they had raised around £100 for the charity. He added: "The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was good to see many of the costumes had been made by the children themselves. The bears also attended assembly and lessons throughout the day and were very well behaved."
