OH dear. Has Kylie gone too far?
The nation applauded when the diminutive 80s pop princess blazed the comeback trail a few years ago.
We praised her bottle and almost put her on as high a pedestal as the queen of reinvention herself, Madonna.
But this album fails to pick up where Fever left off.
There are no tracks that stand out as much as Can't Get You Out Of My Head - the only one that comes close is latest hit Slow, but its breathy vocals are so over the top they are laughable.
It appears Kylie's marketing is becoming more and more geared towards how sexy she can look and sound rather than on her talent.
The album has a heavy 80s influence and although Kylie is way cooler this time around a lot of the tracks sound similar to her sister Dannii's album Neon Nights, which was infinitely better.
I may be underestimating Kylie's popularity, but I doubt Body Language will do half as well as Fever.
Its only saving grace will be if the singles are played on the radio up to 50 times a day so they have a fighting chance of becoming infectious.
Dancefloor disco is undoubtedly Kylie's forte and this laid back album veers too far away from what she does best.
