BROMSGROVE cyclist Phil Blacker continued his success in the West Midlands Cyclo-Cross League with a superb sixth place in the latest round of the series.
In the Royal Sutton CC promoted event, held at Hagley Park School in Rugeley, Phil, of Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club, held on in a fast and furious race.
He equals his sixth place in last week's round at Aldersley Leisure Village.
Darren Atkins (MI Racing) won the race with team mate Steve Knight leading the series overall.
Veteran club rider Mick Gray was voted clubman of the year at the Wyre Forest Club annual general meeting for his continued hard work as club secretary and for his consistent time trial performances over the past season.
