WHEN I was a member of the West Mercia Police Authority, I spent several nights from 10pm-6am with women police officers.
Their skill in handling difficult situations was outstanding.
They were able to take the steam out of drunken brawls and send the protagonists off in opposite directions.
They handled potentially dangerous domestic situations with tact and care.
They responded to emergencies calmly and thoroughly.
I recommend the insight that such a time spent with women police officers would give Councillor Tom Wareing.
I am sure it would increase his understanding of the world.
After such an experience, he would not be wondering where "a 5ft 2ins little girl" has a place.
Yes, I'm sure such a night would enhance his education.
