WYTHALL Primary School is celebrating a national sporting gold after securing the Activemark Gold Award.
Sport England has given the Meadow Road school the prestigious title for outstanding commitment to providing physical activity.
The school is just one of only five in the county to receive the award.
Headteacher Sue Watkins said: "This is a very prestigious national award and we're thrilled to get recognition for the wide variety of sports we offer the children, including swimming, tag rugby, athletics and hockey.
"We work hard to provide opportunities and raise awareness of the benefits of physical activity."
