CRABBS Cross and Hunt End were the hosts of the autumn group meeting at St Peter's Church Hall, Crabbs Cross.
All four institutes were represented - Ipsley, Kingfisher, Webheath and all members of Crabbs Cross.
Janice Jones, WI advisor from Worcester, attended and gave a short talk on her holiday in Russia.
The room was decorated in bright colours, tables decorated with buckets and spades, windmills and seaside rock, walls with beach balls and rubber rings. All due to speaker Quintin Greatrex's talk on the history of Punch and Judy.
After supper of sandwiches, cakes and ice cream, members enjoyed a Punch and Judy Show with a lot of audience participation.
The competition for seaside memories was judged by Mr Greatrex, who gave first prize to Kingfisher WI and the raffle was drawn.
Although this was the autumn meeting and the theme was seaside memories, the only thing lacking was the sunshine and a letter of thanks received from Kingfisher asked "what about the donkeys?"
Unfortunately, this could not be arranged but a good time was had by all and the evening closed with an invitation from Ipsley WI, who will host the spring group meeting.
