BOOKWORMS at a Wythall primary school are recording great reading results thanks to staff and parents.
Four Meadow Green Primary School parents and support workers at the Meadow Road school attended a better reader scheme organised by Worcestershire LEA and each received certificates for their efforts.
Teaching assistant Karen Harvell said: "We each had three year one children as reading partners and they read with us twice a week for 20 minutes over six weeks.
"The time spent with the children has resulted in a noticeable improvement, not only in their reading but in their general confidence in the classroom."
