CHILDREN from around the town have proved they are environmentally sound during a competition.

Arrow Valley Countryside Centre organised the event so youngsters could share their ideas on recycling.

In the eight to 12 years category, Robert Perks came first, Emily Hancock was second and Natalie Newman third.

In the younger category for seven year olds and under, Julian Kiely came first, Anna Sharp was second and Georgia Eames third.

Their awards were presented to them last week at the centre by Redditch Mayor Kieth Boyd-Carpenter.
