ACCOUNTANTS and business advisers PKF West Midlands has acquired the corporate arm of Haden Insolvency, Bromsgrove.
The move broadens the reach and services in Worcestershire and the south-west Midlands for PKF, which has an office in The Butts, Worcester.
It will also reunite PKF insolvency partner Ian Gould and Haden principal, Alan Haden, who worked together in Birmingham during the 1990s.
Mr Haden, who has 22 years experience in the insolvency sector, formed the Birmingham Road insolvency practice in 1997.
Brian Hamblin, head of corporate recovery at PKF West Midlands, said by combining the strengths of PKF and Haden Insolvency, the firm was better placed to service the owner-managed business sector.
Mr Haden, meanwhile, said there were "clear advantages" to having access to leading specialist support staff in what he described as a "competitive and highly regulated environment"
"I knew that PKF's pro-active approach to new business in the insolvency market would fit well with my own strengths and style," he said, adding he would also be able to strengthen his links with Worcestershire businesses.
The merged practice now has 12 dedicated insolvency staff including three licensed insolvency practitioners operating throughout the West Midlands and Worcestershire.
