ARCHERY: Sharp shooter Jack Park demonstrated a steady aim as he secured a British title with a record-breaking performance.
The Blakedown youngster, representing Chaddesley Corbett's Winterfold House School, won the U-9s class at the British Schools Archery Championships.
Park, a member of Worcester Bowmen, who are based at the school, scored 526 points from 72 arrows with his recurve bow at Bloxham School, near Banbury.
He created a new class record and also clocked up 27 golds during the tournament.
Coach Daphne Greenwood said: "Jack is great. We had a friendly competition with Malvern Archery Club where the eldest archer was 14 and he won that."
Park heads to the British Schools Indoor Championships in Ryton-on-Dunsmore next month.
