WHEN I read the letter "Shoppers with selfish attitude" (Shuttle/Times and News, November 6), I was glad that someone had finally brought this issue to a head.
As a mother of a two-year-old and a four-month-old, and having them both in rear seats, I really need the extra space provided in a parent/toddler parking space in order to get them both out of the car safely.
Every time I use either of the two main supermarkets in town, able-bodied people - without a child in sight - park in these spaces just because they are closer to the entrance. Why?
If there is anyone out there who can give me a justified reason for this, when the other half of the car park is empty, please let me know - otherwise can you please show a little respect for those of us with a very real need for these spaces?
