BROMSGROVE Rugby Club face their biggest test of the season on Saturday when they entertain league leaders Derby.

The two sides are level on points at the top of Midlands Two West, separated by just points difference.

However, Bromsgrove, still riding high after their recent victory over Worcestershire rivals Malvern, will fancy their chances of taking top spot come Saturday night.

"It's the big one," said coach Dean Ball. "What it can do is take the pressure off the second half of the season and put pressure on Derby.

"We will find out whether we can raise to the level we need to put a result on the cards against Derby."

Malvern, meanwhile, will be looking to take advantage of a slip-up from one of the two sides with the Spring Lane team expected to overcome Stoke-on-Trent at home.

Hereford, who are second from bottom, travel to fellow strugglers Newbold.

Midlands One high-flyers Luctonians face a tricky test of their title credentials when they welcome third-placed Walsall to Mortimer Park.

Droitwich could go top of Midlands Three West (South) if they beat Silhillians at home and other results go their way.

In Midlands Four West (South), lowly Worcester Wanderers will hope to kick-start their season when they take on Trinity Guild, who are one place above them, at Sixways.
