FIREFIGHTERS with breathing apparatus battled with a house fire in Kidderminster in the early hours of Tuesday.
Two pumps were called to the blaze in Franche Road at 1.10am, which was caused by an electrical fault from the central heating timer setting fire to the plastic water tank and wooden surround.
It took 10 firefighters two hours to deal with the incident.
No-one was in the building when it caught fire.
There was fire damage to the bathroom and water damage to the ceiling and kitchen below caused by the tank melting.
