THE annual Poppy Appeal for Wolverley and Cookley raised more than £3,400, surpassing all expectations.
Stan Bateman, from the Royal British Legion, has issued a big "thank-you" to everyone who assisted and gave so generously.
The turnout at Remembrance Day parades in the area was also particularly high, he added.
The branch holds its annual meeting on Wednesday, December 3 at the Queen's Head pub in Wolverley. All are welcome.
