SALMON could be reintroduced to the River Rea under new proposals to be unveiled in Cleobury Mortimer tonight.
A fish expert from the Environment Agency will talk to villagers about the plan, the relationship of salmon with River Severn as well as the history of the Rea.
The Rea is a tributary river to the Teme and Severn and has been the focus of a biodiversity study by the Cleobury Mortimer Environmental Impact Forum, which has put together the evening.
Tony Bostock, chairman of the Environment Agency West Midlands Fisheries Committee will talk alongside Susan Swales, chief ecologist for Shropshire County Council.
The presentation will be at the market hall on High Street at 7.30pm. Admission is free.
