THE origins of Christmas customs from around the world will be uncovered this week in a festive feast of seasonal songs, carols and readings by Kidderminster Operatic and Dramatic Youth Society.
The concert, which is only the second to have a Yuletide theme, will be performed at The New Meeting Church in Kidderminster tomorrow and Saturday from 7.30pm.
KODYS, which is the youth section of Kidderminster Operatic and Dramatic Society, was founded in the early 1990s and aims to introduce young people to theatre.
Some of the questions answered by this year's concert - which was written and devised for the Wyre Forest group by society member Pat Scully and first performed at St Mary's Church in 1991 - include why we celebrate Christmas on December 25.
This year's production - in which the audience will be invited to join in - was revised by Denise Churchett, while Pam Craven and Margaret Rodgers provided musical expertise.
